Tuve mi primer turno con el Dr. Islam el viernes y hoy tuve mi segundo turno para revisar unos resultados. En 5 años que he estado en Australia, nunca nadie de ha dedicado a buscar una respuesta a los síntomas. Es la primera vez que me voy del consultorio sin decir “la medicina en Australia es muy mala”. Doctor Islam has been our doctor for almost 11 years. I have been following him where ever he moves to another clinic. At first when he moved from one medical center to another I could not find him, but was trying my best and finally I got to him. He is at very first place a PERSON like anyone else than a DOCTOR! Always listening and trying to answer on all questions that we have. Doctor Islam is SUPER PROFESSIONAL DOCTOR! If I can give him 1000000 I would. My son Veljko loves him a lot since he was baby and now he has 12 yr. Dr Islam has friendly manners. Some ppl said its waiting in a clinic... I dont care how much I am waiting , I would wait for him all day and will find him where ever he goes to work. Recomend him to all the world. God Bless you Dr Islam!!! ~ Sofia T

I can’t thank Dr Latif enough for his care and advice, without taking his advice and following his instructions my outcome could’ve been fatal. After having some mild chest pains he advised me on a heart health check. I followed the plan throughout, Blood tests, Heart Halters, ECG, Cardiologist etc and they diagnosed me with a pulmonary embolism (blood clot) in my lungs. Without diagnosis and treatment this could’ve travelled to my brain causing a stroke. I am so thankful for Dr Latif and his advice as this was caught early. If anyone is having symptoms no matter how healthy you may or may not be please book in and see him and follow the steps he advises. It really could mean the difference between life and death. Dr. MD Tariqul Islam is not only extremely knowledgeable and professional, but also caring and compassionate. I became involved with My Doctors Clinic on Xmas Day when we had that terrible storm on the Gold Coast and I had a bad laceration on my leg. Dr. Islam saw me and put stitches in my leg and pressure to stop the bleeding. For the next few weeks I had to return to the clinic for dressing changes and to make sure it did not become infected every 2 days and eventually every 3 days. The care I received was exceptional. And the 3 nurses who work in the treatment room are exceptional as well....very professional and competent. Since then Dr. Islam has seen me for other medical issues and he is my primary G P now. There is a lab and chemist on site so you can get everything done at one stop. The clinic is very busy , but run very efficiently. ~ Glenn G

OF YOU ARE VISITING THIS CLINIC MUST VISIT DR. ALTAF BECAUSE HE IS THE BEST. It all started few weeks back as I was in an immense pain. Firstly, this clinic and it’s staff are really helpful and polite. Secondly, my GP Dr. Altaf was like a cherry on the cake as he assisted me, guided me SO SO well that I couldn’t thank him of. He is so very helpful, polite & understanding. His compassion, patience, and attentiveness have made a significant difference in my life & health and I am so grateful for his support. I was looking for a new doctor as I had been diagnosed with some serious issues and I needed a doctor that I could trust. My friend recommended Dr Latif and I was instantly taken in by his warmth. He wasn't the usual run-of-the-mill doctor that I have come across in my life. He is special. He ticked all my boxes! except being a male, but it didn't seem so important after having met him. Dr Latif is compassionate, empathetic and kind. I was very impressed by his 10 year training, working in rural practices in Australia, alongside all his others years of training as a doctor. The clinic is small and yes sometimes I have waited up to an hour to see him but being able to sit outside the surgery to wait, always made it easier instead of waiting in a crowded room. I'm an American visiting a local Aussie friend. I developed a very bad upper respiratory infection which I finally decided needed medical attention. I came into My Doctors Clinic shortly after 7 am and requested to be seen. The receptionist asked me to come back at 9:20 am. I showed up at that time and was seen about 20 minutes later by Dr. Waleed Aldesoki. Dr. Aldesoki was very pleasant and very thorough during his appraisal of my condition. I was able to get my prescription filled at the in-clinic pharmacy, which was very convenient. All in all, my experience as a non- Australian citizen requiring medical attention was great. I was very impressed with this surgery. We are on holiday and had to delay our flights home due to us all getting Influenza A & myself becoming very unwell. After having a Telehealth with my own GP about my asthma last week, I was still not improving so I wandered into My Doctors Clinic seeking an appointment. The receptionist was absolutely lovely, apologised that we couldn’t be seen yesterday afternoon (entirely our fault - they were about to close), but she gave me an appointment early this morning. Dr Waleed Aldesoki was lovely, very competent, and really listened. Hopefully I will be on the road to recovery now, but I would most definitely be happy to be seen at this surgery again. ~ Rach C

Dr Islam is an exceptionally professional practitioner in his field of medicine. Dr Islam has been my family dr for the last 18 years. I have followed him from practice to practice because he is the best doctor I have have known and have faith in. I had many procedures attended to by him and have been very happy with the results. He is a very kind and caring doctor and always has time for his patients. He is very knowledgeable and has a number of years of experience in the field of medicine. The practice nurse, Mikki is always very efficient and caring. The receptionist Lisa and Luciana are also very efficient, approachable and ready to assist. Dr. Islam is the best! He is now at "Help Medical" at Pacific Fair in case you are looking for his wonderful care. There are additional services in this medical practice such pathology and treatment room which is very convenient. My and my husband have been seeing him since we moved to the Gold Coast 4 years ago. He is extremely patient, caring, and listens to each of our concerns. He goes above and beyond, making suggestions to implement healthy habits in our lives. I had a couple of iron infusions with him; he was very gentle, checked on me every 10 minutes, and made me feel comfortable all the time. Well I was a walk in that needed an Australia DR to re-prescribe a US prescription. The reception staff was lovely and very efficient. Within 30 minutes I was in front of a very professional DR that heard and knew what his US based colleague was prescribing and why. Very refreshing as he took the necessary time to listen and provide lay person answers to all of my questions. Following the exam and RX in hand I went to the in house pharmacy. The pharmacist took extra time to discuss this new medication I was about to try. The pharmacist also had personal experience with this drug from his family use of it. In all…I must say the entire experience was great and I truly appreciate the staff, Doctor and Pharmacist for looking after a visitor to their beautiful country and taking care of me. I originally chose this clinic as It is in a convenient location for me but, now I keep coming back because I'm very happy with them and the system. Dr Steve is very professional and really listens to me (very hard skill to find now a days), he takes the time to listen to my concerns and he has recommend the correct treatment and tests. The nurses are also kind and understanding. They also have the laboratory, the farmacy, everything easy access and convenient. The only downside is that it can get very busy at times and the waiting time can be long, but putting that aside I'm very happy with them ☺️ ~ Nana S

"I have been seeing Dr Islam for quite a few years now. He is not only a fabulous GP, and incredibly kind person but he is also very good at various cosmetic procedures including Botox, Dysport, Fillers, Stem Cell and PRP. My sister even drives down from Brisbane to see him. She is in her 60s and looks incredible. He is very gentle with his techniques and uses the finest needles to help prevent bruising. I have never bruised once and the results always look natural and amazing. I was surprised as it was not painful (There is minimal pain.)I never noticed any bruising or bleeding. Not to mention his pricing is quite reasonable when compared to other cosmetic injectors on the Gold Coast I have been to in the past. I also prefer the fact that Dr Islam is a Doctor. Dr Islam also performed minor plastic surgery. He is a VMO at Pindara and Gold Coast Private Hospital. I highly recommend Dr Islam." ~ Elizabeth K

As an immigrant with language difficulties, the empathy and patience of the people is very much appreciated, especially if it is because you need to receive a medical service. From the first consultation, Dr. MD Tariqul Islam treated me in the best way. He has always been very patient and polite when I tried to tell him how I felt or what hurt me. I'd highly recommend this surgery, it's professional and clean with great doctors and reception staff. I had to visit last night for medication for a migraine, so I called beforehand to check the wait time as I was having trouble with light and knew I wouldn't be able to sit in the waiting room for very long. I was told 1 person was in front so I went down and as soon as I walked in I told the receptionist I was the girl with the migraine and I was taken straight in to see the doctor. Ebonie the receptionist was fantastic and knew how to triage and the doctor I saw knew what he was doing. Also there's a handy 24hr pharmacy next door. ~ Natalie C

I have been a patient at My Doctors Clinic Surfers Paradise for more than 2 decades and can't thank the team of doctors, nurses and allied health (dietitian) staff enough. Their readily available services, bulk billing and surgical procedures, are extras that go above and beyond the call of duty. For example, I had 2 cysts surgically excised by Dr Tariqul Islam almost immediately, something that would be unheard of at most medical clinics. I just wish there were more clinics like My Doctors Clinic Surfers Paradise and doctors like Dr Tariqul Islam, but as the medical practice and Dr Islam, are each one of a kind, I remain a loyal patient. ~ JACINTA H

Doctor Latif is the most amazing, kind and caring doctor I have had in months! Maybe even years! He listened to me, gave me what I needed and set me up with the best plan for my health a doctor has ever given me! I have never walked away feeling more ready to tackle my health issues more confidently than ever. I cannot recommend him highly enough. The reception staff are all amazing and lovely as well. I became a patient of Dr. Latif Ayyaril, only just a few months ago and lucky for me, as Dr. Latif literally saved my life. I was having various health symptoms that alarmed Dr. Latif and he persisted in requesting certain tests to be done. Finally, I was booked in to have an endoscopy & colonoscopy, where they found I had bowel cancer, I had surgery immediately and I am now having chemotherapy… I urge every patient of Dr. Latif Ayyaril, to trust and believe in him, don’t question tests, just follow his instructions and take them, it’s in your best interest, believe me, I know first hand.. ~ Ursula P

We have been seeing Dr Islam for many years. We have followed him wherever he has worked. My whole family and friends circle loves him. He is very experienced and specialise in procedural medicine (surgical / joint injections / cosmetics). He is an above average GP who works with other specialists and is also an academic (lecturer at Griffith University). This makes him such a competent doctor. Writing a review for our parents Walter and Rita. They have been attending the clinic for over 20 years. They can't speak highly enough of Dr Altaf Latif Ayyaril, he is an incredibly caring Dr who always has time to listen to concerns and always has their best interests at heart. The ongoing care given to them is also great comfort for us (family) as we know they are in great hands. Nurse Stan is also very much a wonderful carer and also very much in tune with their needs.
